Well, the first week of Round 2 of P90X is officially
completed!! I am super proud of myself because I started strong. So, I believe
I will finish strong as well. :D
I’ll keep this relatively short. I just wanted to tell you a
little about Legs and Back as well as Kempo X, which was today’s workout.
Basically, in L&B, you do a lot of lunges, pull-ups, and
other exercises that work the upper thighs and calves. My favorite part in this
video would have to be the Wall Squats and Calf Raises even though they burn.
It’s really a mind thing to tell yourself to keep squatting against a wall when
it makes you want fall on your butt and release yourself from the pain. Before
I started, as soon as I put my back on the wall and squatted down at 90
degrees, I fell on my butt. Not even 2 seconds in!! Last night, I did the
entire 90 seconds in the wall squat position. (They actually take breaks but I
just wanted to do the wall squat for that long to see if I could…and I did!!)
Calf Raises are another thing that burns like FIRE!! You pick
a weight and let it hang by your side for balance and just to have some weight.
Then, you raise up on your tippy toes 15 times, then 10 really quick ones. You
start with bow-legged position, then ski position, and finally pigeon-toed
position. I dare you to try this. If it doesn’t feel like you are walking on
fire, then you’re not doing it right.
About Kempo X. This would probably be my least favorite. I’m
not really sure why, but I just don’t like it. You do a lot of punches and
kicks. It’s not too much fun but it goes by pretty quick and you get a nice
sweat out of it. I wish it wasn’t the last workout of the week because it’s
lame!!
Ok, that’s it for now. I’m at my mom’s house and I’m gonna
help her do the dishes :D
